ABOUT ME
I am a mother and a grandmother. My primary (and lengthy) career was as a radiological technologist, a medical model profession. As a lifelong learner and high energy woman, I broadened my horizons to include a wider spectrum of health related modalities.
Since 1982, I have been drawn to body/mind therapies and energetic healing techniques for my own personal journey as well as for assisting others in their development. I have worked with individuals, couples, and groups and led seminars in exploration and empowerment.
In 2000, I became interested in the application of hypnosis to birthing. The opportunity for bringing all of who we are –our inner strength, our wisdom, our instinctive self—to the birthing experience is phenomenal.
Since that time, I have been blessed to work with over 325 couples as they prepared themselves for this momentous event.
Initially part of my inspiration was my own daughter. Several years before I began this work, when she was pregnant with my grandchildren, now 13 and 10, she decided that she wanted her babies to be born naturally with no medication in her system or theirs. I saw how intention and determination carried her through to fulfill her desire. I had the blessing of being present for the final phase of my granddaughter's birth and was able to share in the excitement, amazement and pride of having the birth she had hoped for.
I very much honor the role of the father as he brings his own gifts to support the birthing mother and their baby. I am convinced that the consciousness and commitment we bring at this pivotal point of life sets the tone not only for this baby but for the health of society as well.
